Contract Deadline & Renewal Tracker — Free

Add your contracts once and see exactly how long is left — and, more importantly, when the notice window closes. Auto-renewal clauses cost money precisely because the deadline that matters is the notice date, not the end date.

Add a contract

Saved in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded — and nothing syncs, so export to your calendar for anything you cannot afford to lose.

Nothing tracked yet

Add your first contract and the tracker works out the date that actually matters — the last day you can give notice before it renews automatically.

How to track contract deadlines in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Add a contract

Enter the name, counterparty, end date and notice period in days.

  2. 2

    See the real deadline

The tracker works out the last day you can give notice and counts down to it, not just to expiry.

  3. 3

    Export to your calendar

Download an .ics file and get reminders in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook.

Worth knowing

  • A 12-month contract with a 60-day notice period gives you 10 months, not 12. That gap is where auto-renewals catch people.
  • Entries are saved in this browser only — clearing site data removes them, and they do not sync between devices.
  • The calendar export sets a reminder two weeks before your notice deadline, not on the day.

Your file never leaves this tab

The tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload, no server-side copy and no retention policy to take on trust — open your devtools Network tab and watch: nothing goes out.

Deadline Tracker FAQs

Where is my contract data stored?

In your browser's local storage on this device only. It is never sent to a server, so it is not backed up, not synced across devices, and lost if you clear site data. Export to your calendar for anything you cannot afford to lose.

What is a notice period?

The amount of warning a contract requires before you can end it or stop it auto-renewing — commonly 30, 60 or 90 days before the end date. Miss it and most contracts renew automatically for another full term.

How does the calendar export work?

It generates a standard .ics file containing an event for each notice deadline, with an alarm two weeks ahead. Open it and your calendar app imports the events. Do this once and the deadlines follow you everywhere.

Can I track deadlines across devices?

No. Entries live in this browser's local storage on this device only, by design — there is no account to sync them to. Export to your calendar and the deadlines follow you to every device your calendar already reaches.

Does the app do this too?

The app has its own deadline list — dates with priorities, live countdowns and urgency bands, stored on your phone. The notice-date arithmetic on this page is a web-only extra: work out the real deadline here, then track it wherever you prefer.

If the document itself is the problem

The app keeps a deadline list beside your documents — countdowns, priority bands and an at-a-glance view of what is overdue — so renewal dates sit next to the contracts they came from.

The app also drafts a contract from your answers and reviews one you were sent, clause by clause. It is free to download and free every month for 3 documents and 2 reviews — this tool stays free either way.

Do the whole thing on your phone

Draft it, check it for risk, rewrite the clauses you do not like, sign it and send it — without opening a laptop.
